You need to prolong your visa for the duration of your stay in Saarbrücken.

Monday: 8:30am - 12:00am and 02:00pm - 03:30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30am - 12:00am
Thursday: 8:00am - 12:00am and 02:00pm - 05:30pm

Please note:
You have to make an appointment before you go there. Otherwise you will not be admitted.

You need to bring:

  • 1 recent passport-size photo (biometric)
  • the completed residence permit application form. Print out the form (pdf: Antrag auf Erteilung einer Aufenthaltsgenehmigung) and fill it in
  • students who have been granted a scholarship need to take a scholarship attestation from MPI-INF/IMPRS-CS with them; they needn't pay any fees
  • students without a scholarship need to take their admission letter from the university (Zulassungsbescheid), and they have to pay about 40 Euros in fees
  • confirmation of registration at the town hall (Meldebescheinigung)
  • passport
  • confirmation of immatriculation at university / student identity card
